I’m Mauro Olaza, born in Huaraz in 1969 and proudly rooted in the heart of the Peruvian Andes.
My professional journey has always focused on promoting the tourism and culture of our region. For over two decades, I served as a tourism publicist and director for Peru Map Guide, a pocket guide distributed in Huaraz dedicated to exploring local tourism and cultural activities.
As a producer at RedCondor Film, I’m committed to promoting Andean culture through documentaries that highlight the popular and ancestral expressions of Huaraz. I’ve also worked as a fixer for international productions, including Tambo Films and History Channel’s IRT Deadliest Roads.
Since 2015, my passion for mountain biking has become a fundamental part of my professional life. I’ve provided extensive logistical and transportation support for cyclists throughout the Ancash area, having the honor of accompanying and transporting many great cycling friends. A significant part of my knowledge and my pride in teamwork comes from the invaluable advice of the renowned cyclist and owner of Mountain Bike Adventures Huaraz, Julio Olaza.
